Veterans’ Affairs Evacuates Southeast and Southwest Louisiana War Veterans’ Homes
BATON ROUGE, La. (August 30, 2008) – Evacuations have begun of the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve, La. and the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings.

So far, 89 veterans have already been evacuated to the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson from the Reserve home and 22 veterans from Jennings are currently in the process of evacuating to the Jackson Louisiana War Veterans Home. In addition, 92 veterans will evacuate to the Bossier City War Veterans Home from Jennings.

Family members are encouraged to contact the two north Louisiana homes, as both homes have organized lists of all veterans who already evacuated or will be evacuated today.
