East Jefferson Levee District Closed Bonnabel and Williams Boulevard Boat Launch Flood Gates at 10:00 a.m. Sunday
KENNER, La. (August 31, 2008) – Fran Campbell, Executive Director of the East Jefferson Levee District, announced the following flood gate closures: 

• Effective Sunday, August 31, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., the floodgates at Bonnabel Boat Launch and Williams Boulevard Boat Launch closed.

This also prohibits vehicular traffic at those sites.  These gates were originally slated to be closed at 2:00 p.m. today.
