State Announces Locations For National Guard Supply Distribution Points in Lafourche, Iberia, St. Mary and Terrebonne
Baton Rouge (September 2, 2008) – The National Guard has now opened six supply distribution points throughout Lafourche, Iberia, St. Mary, and Terrebonne Parishes. These points will distribute water, ice, food, and tarps to residents affected by Hurricane Gustav.
The points will be located at:
Lafourche Parish
- Matthews: 4876 Hwy 1 (located adjacent to the new Wal-Mart.)
Iberia Parish
- New Iberia: 1202 E. Admiral Doyle Drive
- Jeanerrette: Abandoned Piggly Wiggly on Hwy 182.
Terrebonne Parish
- Houma: Behind the Civic Center at 346, Civic Blvd.
St. Mary Parish
- Franklin: Patterson Civic Center 116 Cotton Rd.
- Morgan City: Morgan City Auditorium, 725 Myrtle St.
The National Guard, along with local Office of Emergency Preparedness’, are currently working to open locations in the Baton Rouge and Alexandria areas. As soon as locations are finalized they will be released.
