Thibodaux H.S. & Central Lafourche H.S. Shelters Closed
Larose Civic Center Remains Open
RACELAND, La. (September 10, 2008) - The Lafourche Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness has closed two of the three Red Cross shelters in Lafourche Parish. The shelters located at Thibodaux High School and Central Lafourche High School have been shut down after the few remaining evacuees were transported to the Larose Civic Center earlier today. The Red Cross shelter at the Larose Civic Center remains open housing those evacuees from Hurricane Gustav as well as residents evacuating due to Hurricane Ike.
