Vermilion Parish Orders Partial Mandatory Evacuation
ABBEVILLE, La. (September 11, 2008) - The Vermilion Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness and the Vermilion Parish Police Jury President on the advice of the Weather Bureau has called a Mandatory Evacuation  of Vermilion Parish below LA Highway 14  to include all of Erath and Delcambre due to we are expecting the same water flooding as we had for Hurricane Rita.

For Medical Special Needs patients we are calling a Mandatory Evacuation of the patients below LA Highway 14 and on the west side of the parish from the Meridian Line Road to the Cameron and Jeff Davis parish lines.
