Calcasieu Parish Officials: Help Keep Ditches Clear
LAKE CHARLES (September 14, 2008) - With the potential for heavy rainfall in the area today, parish officials are encouraging citizens to check ditches and drainage systems around their homes for debris that may have accumulated during Hurricane Ike.  Leaves, twigs and other trash may prevent rainwater from draining properly, making further flooding from today’s rain a possibility.
