Corps opens new Blue Roof collection sites and closes old Blue Roof collection sites
US Army Corps of Engineers News Update
BATON ROUGE , La. (September 20, 2008) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisiana Recovery Field Office, in Baton Rouge, La., will open up some new Blue Roof Right of Entry collection sites and close some old Blue Roof collection sites.  The sites are:

St, Mary Parish:  A second ROE collection site is open only on Sep. 20-21 at the Rite Aid, 1223 North Victor II, Morgan City, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Jefferson Parish:  The recently opened second parish ROE collection center at Grand Isle High School, 149 Ludwig Lane, in Grand Isle is open Sep. 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.  It will close at the end of the day on Sep. 21.

St. Tammany Parish: Open only Sep. 20-21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Future dates/hours TBD.

St. Helena Parish:  Open only Sep. 20-21, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Plaquemines Parish:  Opens Sep. 22-26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Baptist Church, 27082 Highway 23, Port Sulphur

Avoyelles Parish:  Open Sep. 22-26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Disaster Recovery Center. Location is Avoyelles Parish Shopping Center, 816 Tunica Drive (LA Highway 1) E. Marksville

LOCATION MOVED:  Iberville Parish: Effective Sep. 20, the ROE collection center has moved to the St. Gabriel Community Center, 1400 Gordon LeBlance Dr., St. Gabriel

Evangeline Parish:  Closed on Sep. 19.

Livingston Parish:  Closes down at the end of the day on Sep. 20.

St. Helena Parish:  Closes down at the end of the day on Sep. 20.

East and West Feliciana Parish joint ROE collection site in St. Francisville will close at the end of the day on Sep. 20.

St. Martin Parish:  Closes down at the end of the day on Sep. 21.

The Corps’ provides FEMA emergency support function 3 (ESF3) mission, response and recovery for temporary roofing. Additional missions include emergency power, commodities and technical assistance to facilitate a rapid recovery from Hurricane Gustav.
