Hurricane Gustav estimated expenditures by state government projected at $383.9 million, damage to state facilities over $100 million
Commissioner of Administration Angele Davis today released updated projected estimated expenditures by state government associated with Hurricane Gustav, as well as an initial cost estimate of damages to state facilities.

State of Louisiana Secures Disaster Recovery Grants from US Economic Development Administration
Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Secretary Stephen Moret today announced that LED has secured $2.5 million in federal funds from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA). The funds are designated to assist with the economic recovery of communities affected by Hurricane Gustav.

Mobile Business Counseling Center Travels to Lafourche Parish
Louisiana Economic Development (LED), U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Louisiana Small Business Development Center Network and Louisiana Business and Technology Center (LBTC) today announced the mobile business counseling center will be located in Galliano, La., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center is an extension of the six Louisiana Business Counseling Centers recently created to assist businesses impacted by hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
