A list of shelters was compiled during Hurricane Katrina that provide for a variety of needs.

Evacuation Guides and Maps
As part of the Louisiana Citizen Awareness and Disaster Evacuation Guide, the Louisiana State Police have compiled Statewide Evacuation Routes and an Evacuation Guide. The DOTD has compiled a District Map with Evacuation Routes.

New Orleans Contraflow Maps
As part of the Louisiana Citizen Awareness and Disaster Evacuation Guide, the Louisiana State Police have compiled Contraflow Maps for the Metro New Orleans area and specific areas of South Louisiana.
